JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A local man is among 23 people indicted by a federal grand jury on drug trafficking charges.
Michael Dewayne Jackson, 40, faces charges related to a conspiracy to distribute large amounts of marijuana, cocaine and crack cocaine across the country.
Jackson and the 22 additional suspects face a possible life sentence if convicted.
"Drug dealers beware," warned U.S. Attorney Edward Tarver. "If you are pushing poison into our community, law enforcement will unite. We will hunt you down. We will find you. We will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law, and we will forfeit your property."
