JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Rion Paige is only 13 years old, but when she opens her mouth, you'd never know.
Her recent 'X-Factor' performance brought the judges to their feet. Singing Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away," she melted hearts and gained millions of fans.
"Right when my foot hit the stage, I was ready. No nerves. I was ready to go out there and shine," she said.
Indeed she did. The judges showered her with praise and predicted a life of stardom.
Even Simon Cowell, who is known to be tough, gave Rion the nicest compliment of them all. The teen has been singing since she was 3. It's in her bones. It's in her very being.
When she's out there performing with bands and in her element, you may not even notice her difference.
It's called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita, a condition which causes the joints in her hands to curve.
"I don't want them to underestimate me. I want them to know I can sing and I still have a stage presence, even though I may not be able to hold the mic myself, but I can do it."
When we sat down with Rion, we asked her how it felt to be a superstar.
It's a flattery she appreciates, but doesn't focus on. Her mission? Sing until she can't sing anymore and leave people feeling "blown away."
'It's always just great to know somebody's watching and somebody cares about your art and what you're doing and are touched by you," she said with a smile.
Rion tells us she doesn't like to perform without her special cowboy boots, which she did wear during her 'X-Factor' performance.
Another cool tidbit: "Blown Away" singer Carrie Underwood sent a Tweet to Rion after her big night, celebrating her success.
