FOLKSTON, Ga. -- You don't have to look hard to find Charlton County High School alumni who had DaNita, or Dee, Wilson as a teacher.
She was a math teacher there until Tuesday, when she was arrested on sexual assault charges.
"There were rumors, but I didn't believe them," former student Cody Stebbins said.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Wilson is accused of having sex with several of her current and former students, at least seven of them.
"It's just mind-blowing," said Stebbins, "Because I never thought of her like that, you know."
The Superintendent of Charlton County Schools told Action News Wilson had worked with the district since 2003 and had never had any disciplinary problems.
She has been suspended until a hearing, at which time the superintendent says he will recommend she be fired.
This Action News investigation isn't over. We're still working to find out how long this investigation had been under way. And how police were tipped off. As soon as we know more, you will too.
