LAKE CITY, Fla. -- A Columbia County man is facing multiple charges for trying to stab his sons.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says they got a call Saturday at 5:45 a.m. about an injured person. Upon arrival, they met 54-year-old Christopher Graham.

Graham was bleeding from an injury to his head. He told deputies he was attacked by two men but he didn't know who they were. Graham was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for his injuries.

Deputies later determined Graham was not attacked by strangers as he told them. They say he was allegedly intoxicated and confronted one of his sons in the front yard of his home. He then tried to hit his son with a lawn chair. When he missed, Graham pulled out a pocket knife and attempted to stab his son.

Seeing the commotion, Graham's second adult son tried to break up the argument and ended up being cut in the forehead. Eventually, both sons were able to pin Graham on the ground and call for help. That son is ok.

Graham was later arrested at the hospital and taken to the Columbia County Detention Facility. He has charged with Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Assault, Battery, Assault and Making a False Report to law Enforcement. Graham is being held on a $72,000 bond.
