ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An 81-year-old woman left her wallet by a register at an Orange County Walmart, and surveillance video shows a man placing her wallet in his pocket, investigators said.
Authorities said when the victim realized she left her wallet at the register, she returned to the store.
The man, who was still at the register, pretended to help her search for her wallet, deputies said.
The surveillance video, not yet released, shows the wallet was still in his pocket as he exited the store, authorities said.
Investigators said a short time later, the victim's credit cards were used.
The victim’s name was not released.
A photo of the man was released, and investigators said they hope someone will recognize him and call authorities.
