BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A man was sentenced to life in prison for the 2008 murder of a Yulee woman.

Amos Southall, 31, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murder, plus 30 years for distribution of cocaine.

Southall was tried in November 2012 for the Feb. 26, 2008 murder of 21-year-old Michelle Hainley of Yulee. Hainley's body was found floating in the bathtub of a hotel room at the Ramada Inn in Kingsland, Ga. An autopsy determined that Hainley died from blunt force trauma, strangulation and drowning.

DNA and fingerprint evidence linked Southall to the victim's body and the hotel room.
