OCALA, Fla. -- A Marion County man is facing a murder charge.

Jamal "Diddy" Jefferson, 39, of Ocala is charged with murder in the first degree. This new development comes after detectives spent months putting together the case that started in June.

Police said the victim, Jeffery Aaron, went to Jefferson to buy cocaine. An argument broke out between the two men, and Jefferson admits to shooting and killing Aaron.

Marion County Sheriff's Office detectives learned that Jefferson and his girlfriend, Michelle Cruz, abandoned Aaron's vehicle in Holly Hills. Jefferson and his brother Jackson Crowne dumped Aaron's body in an area of East Orlando. Jefferson is in the Marion County jail without bond.
