JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Teresa Thomas just witnessed the murder of her daughter, Bianca. In tears, she broke the news to her son over the phone.

"This crazy nut just shot your sister down in her face right in front of me and killed her," she said.

It happened just after noon on Thanksgiving Day on Almeda Street. Police say Rolisha Bianca Thomas was trying to end the three-month relationship she was having with her neighbor, Calvin Wright. The couple was reportedly fighting over a cell phone, when Wright pulled out a gun and opened fire.

Teresa Thomas said, "He just killed my child for no reason just because she asked him for her phone."

After the shooting, police say Wright ran. "Before we arrived, he was on the phone with some family members. At this point, he's refusing to turn himself in to us," said Sgt. Shawn Coarsey with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Bianca Thomas' family screamed after learning the 24-year-old mother died at the hospital. For this family, Thanksgiving will never be the same. And the image of her daughter's murder will never leave her mom's mind.

"I can still see her falling down and I couldn't even go down there and hold her or nothing because he was shooting at me ,too," cried Teresa Thomas.

Bianca Thomas, 24, leaves behind a 7-year-old daughter.

Wright, also 24, was recently released from prison. He served time for burglary. He's now on the run, accused of murder.

Anyone who knows where Calvin Wright could be is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
