JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- More than 70,000 people are expected to pack EverBank Field on Saturday for the annual Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam. Couple that with dozens of other events happening in downtown and you get the perfect recipe for a monster traffic mess.

The general manager at Fionn McCool's Irish Pub at The Jacksonville Landing is expecting the crowds to come out in droves tomorrow.

"It means more business people are coming to downtown. It's making downtown a place to go to," said Paul Glaser, GM at Fionn McCool's.

From college sporting events, to concerts to the highly anticipated Monster Jam. It's all converging in the River City this weekend.

According to Katherine Hardwick with Downtown Vision, downtown Jacksonville is the place to be this Saturday.

"Looking at our calendar alone we have more than 20 events going on in downtown," said Hardwick.

Starting at 9 a.m. no parking will be allowed on Bay Street, instead the road will be two eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes.

The Monster  Jam pre-event drop off location will be on Georgia Street between Adams Street and Duval Street.

The key to avoid any aggravation is to just be prepared.

"Make sure you get tickets in advance. Come down three hours early if you can make it, make sure you bring your cash," said Hardwick.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will be tweeting traffic messages starting at 1 p.m. Traffic patterns will be back to normal about an hour after the Monster Jam is over.
