JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- A  Jacksonville mother has been sentenced to prison for running an adoption scam.

Kenyetta Tondorria Murray pleaded guilty to two counts of grand theft and adoption fraud in September.

The 26-year-old signed adoption contracts with two families for the same child in 2011, then took money from both up until the day she gave birth. She was sentenced Thursday to three years in state prison.

Action News spoke with family members who say Murray will appeal her sentence.
