JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An ordinance to help keep the city of Jacksonville clean will go before the city council Tuesday.
Locals around Jacksonville tell Action News they are tired of seeing properties around town overgrown with weeds and grass.
Currently, these issues are handled between three different departments: public works, parks and recreation and municipal code compliance.
District 8 city council member Denise Lee has been pushing for a mowing division created to specifically address these issues.
This will be addressed on the city council's agenda Tuesday night, however the issue will not be voted on.
