FOLKSTON, Ga. -- In the small town of Folkston, Ga., news travels fast. Especially when it's about a teacher at Charlton County High School arrested on seven counts of sexual assault. "It's very scary. I never thought anything would happen like that," says Kista Addison. Art Fouraker says, "It's awful. It really is."

And naturally it was only a day after Wilson's arrest that neighbors started talking. "It was a surprise to me, yes, it was," says neighbor Paul May.

Paul May has been Danita Wilson's neighbor, or Miss Dee as he calls her, for about seven years. He says he was shocked to find out the 32-year-old mom of two and Charlton County High School 2012 teacher of the year, was arrested Tuesday for sexually assaulting 7 high school students. We asked him if there seemed to be trouble at home. "Did you ever hear her and her husband getting into fights?" May says, "No ma'am. No. No. They were loving."

We knocked on Danita Wilson's door, but instead of an answer, we were kicked off the property by the owner who lives next door. Later we found out from May, the man is Wilson's brother.. He didn't want to comment on his sisters allegations.

But the school board did. I spoke with the school superintendent John Lairsey... He didn't want to go on camera, but had this to say, "The Charlton County School District is dedicated to the education, safety, and well-being of all students. We take seriously any allegations of inappropriate conduct..."

Lairsey said he knew Wilson personally. He says he didnt believe it when he first received the information Tuesday from within the school about Wilson. A teacher he actually recommended for the job, 10 years ago.

As for Wilson, she submitted her formal resignation letter to the school district this morning.
