New York man killed in crash at I95 and Philips Highway
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A New York man is dead, killed in a crash along Interstate 95 early Sunday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 22-year-old Michael Kriesel was killed when his car veered off the highway near the Philips Highway exit just after 5 a.m. Sunday.
Police say the car then hit the concrete base of an overhead sign. Krisel was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are unsure whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
