PALM COAST, Fla. -- Flagler County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 29-year-old Palm Coast man Friday for shooting into a home after an argument with his wife.

Deputies said 29-year-old Christopher Avellar and his wife began arguing early Friday evening . They say his wife left and went to her in-laws at Waywood Place. Around 10 p.m., police say Avellar showed up at his father's home and began to violently bang on the front door. The elder Avellar went outside to talk to his son and they began arguing.

At that point, police say Avellar went to leave, but instead grabbed a .45 caliber handgun out of his car. Witnesses say Avellar walked to the house and pointed the gun, shooting once. Six people were in the home at the time.

Deputies later found shell inside a cabinet in the garage.

Avellar was arrested at the scene and transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility. He is charged with six counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, aggravated assault and domestic violence. He is being held without bond in connection with shooting the gun.
