JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office homicide unit is investigating a possible attack at a home on Gulf Road South in the Tree Top Estates neighborhood on the Westside.
Police say the girlfriend of a 65-year-old man found him lying outside with severe injuries to his face at approximately 7 p.m. He was taken to Orange Park Medical Center in critical condition.
Sgt. Lonnie Mills says the man's injuries are consistent with an attack, and JSO is canvassing the neighborhood for additional information.
Multiple crime scene units are on hand, searching in and outside the home.
