JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Mysterious messages hounding a UNF professor, from her inbox, to her front door.

University Police say a student posed as an FBI agent in emails obtained by Action News.

Hiding behind the fake name, Dr. Aaron Bradley, the student claimed to have an undercover agent in the professor's class, and asked to get to know her.

"She took it as a possible threat," said interim UNF Campus Police Chief Bill Strudel.

Police say they didn't take it very seriously at first, but the emails wouldn't stop. The next request was a "meet and greet." Then the professor says the student showed up at her door.

"We're thinking, 'well again we're getting more serious if someone is coming to somebody's house and knows where the house is and shows up there that's not good at all," said Strudel.

Police connected the dots.

"We discovered that the emails came from a computer that the student had access to," said Strudel.

The student was removed from the class, but decided to deal with it on the school level, and the student was not arrested.

The student was directed to campus counseling.
