JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Sheriff deputies in Brevard County tell Action News they have arrested the suspect in Friday's fatal shooting at a gas station. Michael Dunn, 45, was taken into custody on outstanding warrants of murder and attempted murder.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office homicide unit was called to the Gate gas station near Baymeadows Road and Southside Boulevard about 7:40 p.m. Friday after several shots were fired in the parking lot.

Wolfson High School Senior Jordan Davis, 17, was riding with friends when he was shot. He was taken to UF & Shands Jacksonville where he died.

Police say the people inside the red SUV got in a confrontation with Dunn who was in a dark sedan over loud music.

Police believe the alleged shooter and victim did not know each other. No one else was hurt. JSO detectives are interviewing Dunn in Brevard County.
