JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One local child care facility had nearly a half-dozen violations.
The Kid Care report traveled to Precious Angels Child Care & Learning Center on Arlington Road in Jacksonville because the latest state inspection showed five violations. The center can care for as many as 149 children. So it's one of the larger child care facilities around. Here's a look at some of the things the inspector uncovered when she was here:
-The facility used cribs that did not meet federal guidelines as the bar spacings exceeded the maximum two and three-eighths inches.
-There were problems with Background Screening Documents.
-The staff did not record the daily attendance of children.
Some of the violations were corrected immediately while the staff got a little time to fix others. But it doesn't take away from the fact that Precious Angels Missed The Mark.
Now for a look at the places that had No Violations! There were two.
Kyra's Child Development Center and the Bank of America Child Development Center. Both are located in Jacksonville.
