Predator Alert: Minnie Vancleve & Homer Spires
JACKSONVILLE (ActionNewsJax.com) -- There is something unusual about one of the sex offenders we're featuring this week. She's a woman--but police say she's every bit as dangerous as her male counterparts. Police now need your help tracking her down.
Take a good look at 48-year-old Minnie Vancleve. In 1996, Vancleve was convicted on child pornography charges. Fast-forward six years later, and police say she's breaking the law again, by refusing to register with police.
Just one phone call could help police track her down and put her back behind bars.
54-year-old Homer Spires is a sex predator, convicted of hurting kids in 1977 and 2002.
Special Agent Dominick Pape with FDLE says guys like Spires are always looking for their next victims.
"Just because it was 24 years between the first and the second [conviction] does not mean that he is not ready to offend tonight. He may be looking for his next victim," said Pape.
