NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. -- Renters living in the house where a balcony collapsed during a Fourth of July celebration have been told they have 48 hours to vacate.

"It happened, but it wasn't 50 people on the deck.  There was 12 people on the deck," said renter Charles Blackwell.  He's one of six people who are being forced to move.

He said he and his roommates knew the balcony was in bad shape. They even told their landlord.

"I'm sure we've all brought it to his attention," he said.

Action News asked him, "Have you ever had problems with your landlord before?"  He replied, "No, no problems. He's a good landlord.  These ain't perfect homes."

Blackwell will have to spend the weekend looking for a new place to live, but he says worse things could happen.  He's just thankful his friends who were hurt will be OK.

"God bless us all that nobody was killed and everything worked out," he said.
