BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- Glynn County Commissioner Tom Sublett, found bound and shot last year, likely took his own life, Action News has learned.
The medical examiner for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation shared the findings with Sublett's family, saying his death is consistent to a suicide.
The official report is due out anytime. The Sublett family attorney, Mark Johnson, told Action News he strongly disagrees with the report.
The GBI tells Action News the death investigation is still ongoing.
Police found Sublett's body last December in the water at the St. Simons Island Boating & Fishing Club.
The autopsy report ruled the cause of death for Sublett was drowning with a gunshot wound. The manner of death had yet to be determined until now.
