JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An anonymous donor has stepped up to add an additional $500 to the reward for finding the monster who mutilated a little dog. A second person added $50.
The Jacksonville Humane Society says the reward is now up to $1,050 to help track down a person who cut a dog multiple times.
Bo was brought to JHS on Friday, June 8, by residents of the Deep Springs community with life-threatening injuries.
"Bo was very lucky that he didn’t have any neurological damage because he was cut all the way down to the spinal column," said Dr. Christian Broadhurst, JHS hospital medical director.
According to Dr. Broadhurst, Bo had 10 separate intentional cuts on his body.
JHS notified the City of Jacksonville Animal Care & Protective Services and they send a cruelty investigator to examine Bo.
A suspect has not yet been identified. If you have any information regarding Bo's attack you are asked to call ACPS at 630-CITY (2489).
