JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Southern Christian Leadership Conference will be at the Southside gas station where 17-year-old Jordan Davis was shot and killed just two weeks ago during an argument over loud music.

Today, members of the SCLC will hold an event, lobbying for stricter gun laws. They're working alongside Jordan's father, Ronald Davis, in his fight to repeal the Stand Your Ground Law.

According to authorities, Davis' shooter, Michael Dunn, has said he believes the shooting was justified. And although his defense team hasn't filed a Stand Your Ground Defense just yet, prosecutors are preparing for that possibility.

For now, Jordan's dad says he will fight for what he believes in. "Everyone needs to come together, and maybe we can get guns out of peoples hands," says Davis.

The event is expected to begin at 11 a.m.
