JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Strong thunderstorms are possible through midweek as the summerlike pattern continues.

The sea breeze, which acts like a small front, is a typical feature during summer thunderstorm events. It emerged on Tuesday...generating storms around the I-95 corridor around noon.

Locally heavy rain, dangerous lightning, gusty winds, and hail are all possible with these thunderstorms.

The First Alert Weather Center is forecasting more afternoon and evening thunderstorms on Wednesday.

We'll see a pattern change over the Memorial Day Weekend...ushering in some drier, more pleasant air.
