JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It was business as usual Thursday at the Kings Food Mart, but with an unusual number of police officers patrolling the streets of the New Town neighborhood.

It's been 24 hours, and whomever shot five men on this corner Wednesday afternoon is still on the run.  Neighbor Jiminette Holloway was a witness.  "This guy rode up the street, started shooting, everybody started running," she said.

Police say it was a drive-by, in broad daylight.  Now, they're talking to neighbors to try to figure out who pulled the trigger.

"Everybody really wants to know what's going on," said neighbor Lawanda Peterson.

"This area here, there's a lot of young people here," said Ronald Taylor, President of the New Town Neighborhood Association.  "And the violence is probably between them over a little bit of nothing.  I don't know."

Until the gunman is caught, parents are keeping their kids close.  And neighbors say it makes them feel better seeing police on their streets.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.  You will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to an arrest.
