Sex abuse charges against Cristian Fernandez dropped
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The State of Florida has dropped the sex abuse case against Jacksonville's youngest murder suspect. Cristian Fernandez will not go to trial for that charge.
The 13-year-old was arrested last year in the death of his two-year-old brother. He still faces charges related to that case. Fernandez is expected to go on trial as an adult for first degree murder and aggravated child abuse.
Another hearing in the case is scheduled for November 15.
