JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The coastal flood advisory expired, but we did receive this reports into the First Alert Weather Center of higher than usual tides this morning. Mayport recorded a tide over a foot higher than normal high tide.
Meanwhile, we saw flooding in the Riverside area of Downtown Jax due to the astronomical high tide, the north/northeast winds at 20 mph, and the rain that fell across the St. Johns Basin.
We still have some showers on the breeze, still have a small craft advisory, and a lake wind advisory, but conditions will slowly improve through Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday will be calm, warm, and mostly dry. Fog will be a problem in the morning each day.
