JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- A few showers may occur late tonight, but the majority of the rain will be middle of the day Thursday into Thursday evening. A few thunderstorms will also develop and could become strong with gusty winds and even an isolated tornado threat. The intensity of the storms will depend on how warm it becomes. With highs in the 70s, the situation will likely be marginal for widespread severe weather. But the area will get some much needed rain with amounts averaging a half inch to an inch, locally more for Southeast Georgia and a quarter to a half inch for metro Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.
