St. Augustine runway struck by lightning
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A lightning strike at Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St. Augustine forced the closure of a runway.
An airport official says the strike happened before noon and no one was injured. The area that was hit was the oldest part of the runway.
The runway will be closed for a few days while repairs are made. Operations are running normally.
