St. Augustine theater evacuated after scare

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office says a movie theater is clear after being evacuated Thursday night.

Some patrons of EPIC Theatre at 112 Theatre Drive off State Road 207 reported hearing shots fired and police responded about 9:50 p.m. 

Deputies determined someone possibly heard shots in a theater and alerted other patrons. About 15 people exited the theater.

Chuck Mulligan with the SJCSO says deputies found no evidence of shots being fired and the building has been cleared.
