Jacksonville, Fla. -- Action News has learned State Attorney Angela Corey has fired her office's information technology director. The director recently testified in the Trayvon Martin case.

Ben Kruidbos testified in the Martin case last month as the director of IT for the state attorney's office. Fast forward to Thursday of this week, Action News obtained a letter written to Kruidbos. It says he was fired because of his "deliberate, wilflul and unscrupulous actions." The letter goes on to say he, "can never be trusted to step foot in this office."

Action News has learned Kruidbos is accused of sabotaging state attorney's office property and disclosing confidential information back in March. Kruidbos testified last month saying he was concerned prosecutors did not turn over all the information to George Zimmerman's defense team, including pictures on Martin's phone.

When he testified last month, Kruidbos was already on paid administrative leave. Action News obtained video of Kruidbos with State Attorney Angela Corey on May 28. That was the same day, his attorney, Wes White, testified in a hearing for the Zimmerman case. White is also a former state attorney's office employee.

White told the court Kruidbos came to him with information about the case. White told the court he went to the defense team. At that point, they had no knowledge of it. In the video you can hear Corey saying Kruidbos could now be called in the case as a witness. "It just surprised me. Now I've got an employee that's also a witness for the defense in this case," said Corey. "OK, so go back to work," said Kruidbos. "I don't think that's appropriate. He has access to all of our stuff," said Managing Director Cheryl Peek. "Because you're a witness, I'll have to limit your access because I don't know how much of a witness you are. We'll put you somewhere, we'll keep working of course," said Corey.

Kruidbos' attorney tells Action News they refute the allegations in the letter and say Kruidbos has a clean work history with the office.
