JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Scattered heavy storms will continue this evening over inland Southeast Georgia before diminishing later tonight. A few of these storms could slip south into North Florida before dying out. High humidity and very warm temperatures will continue to produce scattered midday and afternoon showers and heavy thunderstorms Wednesday, especially inland. The first storms will pop from late morning through early afternoon then shift inland through the afternoon with intense lightning and heavy rain in some spots. Temperatures will top out in the 80s. More of the same for Thursday before drier air moves into the area Friday helping to diminish the daily storms of recent days. Radar imagery below courtesy Jax N.W.S. Click ** here
