JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Duval County Superintendent Nikolai Vitti is defending his decison to remove the principal of Baldwin Middle-Senior High.
Vitti says Rhonda Motley was removed this week after multiple videos surfaced of fights happening at the school. But the district says the fights weren't the only reason behind the decision.
"There was a number of incidents/events that have taken place since the beginning of the school year that have raised a red flag," said Vitti.
Denise Hall, the prinicpal at Lee High, is now the new principal at Baldwin.
Vickie Schultz has taken over as principal at Lee.
As for Motley, she is still employed with the school district but not at a school.
