FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. -- Authorities say they have finally captured the suspect in a armed robbery that happened along Atlantic Avenue in Fernandina Beach in mid-May.
Corey Gene Eaton, 18, and Wilbert Morris Jr. allegedly blocked two juveniles from escape with their car then robbed them of money and their cellphones.
Police say Eaton was armed with a semiautomatic handgun during the incident and eventually split the stolen money with Morris.
Eaton is currently being held in the Nassau County Jail on more than $225,000 bond.
He faces charges of armed robbery, grand theft, and attempted kidnapping.
An arrest warrant is expected to be issued for Wilbert Morris.
