JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A cold front blasted through the First Coast overnight. Temperatures are in the 40s and 50s to start the morning on this Thursday. Temps are 15 to 25 cooler than Wednesday morning.
Friday morning will be much colder. Temperatures will continue to drop tonight and Friday morning. Minimum temperatures on the north and west sides of Jacksonville will fall close to freezing (32 degrees). It will not be AS cold at the beaches and areas south.
The freeze watch (which will likely be upgraded to a freeze warning later on Thursday) includes inland Nassau County, inland Duval County, and areas west/inland. Temperatures in these areas are expected to freezing or below for several hours. Remember to bring in the outdoor pets and protect the sensitive plants.
