JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Drier air replaced the tropical air of Tropical Storm Andrea. However, expect brighter skies to be short-lived. The sun will once again be replaced by rain clouds.

There will be several opportunities for thunderstorms through the weekend. The main threat will be in the afternoon and evening. In between the rain events, there will be periods of sun...with plenty of heat and humidity.

Thunderstorm coverage is "scattered" on Friday, "widely scattered" on Saturday, and "more numerous" by Sunday evening.

Heavy rain is possible under thunderstorms when they occur, especially Sunday when more tropical moisture surges north from South Florida.
