JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- You are not supposed to pout or cry, but it doesn't stop some kids from having a full-on tantrum in front of jolly old Saint Nick.
"He will probably be screaming, and someday it will be funny," said Laura Taylor.
"This one was the screamer. We are curious to see what Ana does this year," said Beth Porkert.
Smiling, happy babies turn on the water works when they see the big man himself. And it's all captured with the click of a camera.
"He has never seen Santa before, so it could be a little overwhelming," said Jeff Taylor.
"I laugh. We think it's funny," said Porkert.
But Santa-phobia isn't uncommon. And there are even a few tricks to help turn tiny frowns upside down.
"Some of the tips we recommend is bringing your child to see Santa on more than one occasion," said the Director of Marketing for the St Johns Town Center, Lyndsay Rossman.
"Also if you are handing your child to Santa Claus, make sure you are handing the child facing you so that your child sees you," she said.
But whether your holiday photos are picture perfect or snapshots of terror, parents say they are priceless memories that will never be replaced.
