JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be a Jaguar on Monday, fans are getting a taste. The team is inviting fans to step behind the scenes, and into the jungle.
It's not every day that you have free reign of EverBank Field, but Monday night all of it belongs to the fans.
"Fans can come down here at 5:00 and have some access to those areas that aren't typically open to the public," said Jags VP of sales and marketing, Macky Weaver.
Jags are giving fans the lay of their land. From the field, to the tunnel, to the training room to yes, even the locker room, all in the name of team spirit.
"It's self guided so you can walk through at your own pace," said Weaver. "We'll have people who will answer questions,"
One person on hand is new Coach Mike Mularkey, who will be in the locker room before addressing fans at the Team Teal rally. It's all a part of Khan's new team transparency initiative.
"He wants to provide opportunity for our fans that in other markets you might not ever have a chance to do," said Weaver.
The tour is also hoping to boost Team Teal participation, rolling out new incentives to help sell tickets. Those will be revealed at the rally, but Jags officials did tell Action News that they could put money in your pocket.
"We're going to go to a financial model where in addition to earning points that you can apply towards, you know more experienced prizes," said Weaver. "There's also going to be a financial component that you get rewarded financially for helping us getting to fill up seats at EverBank Field."
