Traffic stop leads to narcotics arrests

LAKE CITY, Fla. -- A routine traffic stop has landed three people behind bars on drug related charges. The Columbia County Sheriff's office says deputies pulled over a car just before 10:00 p.m. Monday at a gas station along Interstate 75 and S.R. 47 for a license plate violation.

Inside the car, they found items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine. In addition to the paraphernalia, over 100 pseudoephedrine tablets were discovered. Pseudoephedrine is a primary ingredient used to manufacture methamphetamine.

The three people inside the car, 31-year-old Donnie Mills, 30-year-old Lydia Estes, and 30-year-old Daniel Walker were arrested and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility.

All three suspects are being charged with Possession of Listed Chemicals and are being held on $30,000 bond.
