WASHINGTON (AP) -- Syndicated radio personality Tom Joyner is offering help in attending college to the young woman who was the last to speak to Trayvon Martin.

Joyner addressed Rachel Jeantel and other young people in what he called "underserved communities" in a letter posted Wednesday on BlackAmericaWeb.com.

Joyner says he was touched by Jeantel during her two days of testimony in the Florida trial of George Zimmerman, who was acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter in Martin's death. Martin was talking with Jeantel on his cell phone shortly before he was killed.

Joyner offered to provide tutors to help Jeantel get her high school equivalency diploma, as well as a full scholarship to the historically black college of her choice.

The foundation named after Joyner supports black colleges and those who attend them.
