LAKE CITY, Fla.-- Antorria Jackson says her whole life came crashing down with one massive tree through her home. Sixty-five-mph winds blew it straight into her living room.
"My roof is almost to my floor," she said. "This is all I know. I grew up here, I've been raised here. I raised my kids here," she said.
Less than an hour before the tree smashed through her roof, Jackson says she was sleeping on the couch directly below it.
Despite tens of thousands of dollars in damage, Jackson says she feels blessed that her children weren't home and nobody was hurt.
"I can replace a house, but my children, I can't replace so I'm just thankful that all of them were gone when this happened."
As the clean up process begins for Jackson and other Columbia County families, she's doing her best to stay positive.
"All I can do it pray about it and move forward," she said.
