MIAMI, Fla. (AP) -- Tropical Storm Dalila is churning across the Pacific off southwest Mexico and authorities have issued a tropical storm warning for a large swath of coastline.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said the fourth tropical storm of the season formed early Sunday and is now centered about 240 miles southwest of Acapulco, Mexico. Dalila is moving north at 10 mph and packing top sustained winds of 40 mph.

Mexico's government issued a tropical storm warning for its Pacific coast region from Punta San Telmo to Manzanillo. A tropical storm watch has been issued for other nearby areas.

Forecasters say tropical storm conditions are expected to first reach the coast early Monday with 1 to 3 inches of rain expected in some areas.
