JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- In Florida, it's all about the winds. The steering winds move the rain and storms.

Overall, the coverage of rain will be limited through midweek. But the showers and storms that do form will progress inland with a steady onslaught of onshore winds. The beach breezes will be coming in from the southeast at 10 to 15 mph.

In Jacksonville, The best chance for rain is around midday. The inland areas will see the storms in the late afternoon and evening.

By the weekend, the pattern shifts to bring the winds in from the south. That'll focus the storms more on the populated areas around Jax and the Beaches into Saturday.
