UNF cancels campus event due to severe weather

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Severe weather has forced UNF to cancel a campus event. Transportation students were planning to rally in support of JAXPORT Tuesday afternoon.

Students from the UNF Logistics & Transportation Society are asking UNF students to sign letters addressed to local officials, urging them to invest in JAXPORT. They say growing our port will make JAXPORT more competitive and bring more jobs to Jacksonville.

The school decided to cancel the event, because of the strong storms that moved through on Tuesday. No word yet when it will be rescheduled.
