Van and sod truck collide, driver hospitalized
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A local driver is in the hospital after a crash between a van and trailer carrying sod.
The wreck happened on U.S. 1 North in St. Augustine. Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of the van was trapped in the wreckage.
The man was flown from the St. Augustine Airport to UF & Shands Jacksonville in stable condition. Rescue workers expect the man to survive.
Investigators have not determined what caused the wreck.
