JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The City of Jacksonville's Military Affairs, Veteran and Disabled Services department is hosting free career and employment couseling seminars for veterans and active duty military within one year of transition.
Military veterans can get career counseling, resume help, interview preparation and translation of military skills to civilian jobs. The event is today at City Hall from 3 - 6 p.m.
If you cannot make it today, the seminars are conducted every third Thursday of the month.
"The face of what we are seeing is changing," Kim Bynum, Deputy Director of Military Affairs, Veteran and Disabled Services. "There are a lot more women in the military now, so we've got more women than in years past attending the seminars."
