JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police have released the name of the victim in a shooting outside Longshoreman union hall.

It happened at the corner of 21st and Blair Street Wednesday around 4:30 p.m.

When investigators arrived on the scene they found Rodricus Vandez Terry in the parking lot across from the local Longshoreman Union Hall, suffering from a gunshot wound.

The 27-year-old was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Wednesday is pay day for longshoreman and the parking lot across the street turns into a makeshift flea market.

"People come to sell stuff, buy stuff, just come up...anybody," says longshoreman Anthony Carswell, who estimates there were at least a 100 people in the parking lot at the time of the shooting.

Despite all the people around, police say they are getting few answers about what happened.

"Unfortunately, everyone in the parking lot says they didn't see anything," says JSO Sgt. T.K. Waters.

JSO says three to four shots were fired.

If you have any information in this case, call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
