West Augustine woman arrested in connection to recent shootings

WEST AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A woman was arrested Friday when St. Johns County Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. served a search warrant Friday.

40-year-old Belinda McKenzie faces multiple drug charges when authorities showed up at a home on the 400 block of Aiken Street.

According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, detectives were investigating the area because of a series of complaints about criminal activity, including shootings. When detectives searched the home on Aiken Street they found more than 5 grams of cocaine. They say the home was the center of organized crime.

McKenzie is scheduled for a first court appearance Saturday morning.
