Woman charged with DUI five times the legal limit
MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- A woman is behind bars in Marion County on charges of driving under the influence.
The sheriff's office said Elin Marie Peterson had a blood alcohol level of .41, which is five times the legal limit of .08.
Authorities rushed Peterson to the hospital due to the high blood alcohol level. She has since been released from the hospital and taken to jail.
Peterson told deputies, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, that she is "considered an alcoholic and that is how I went off the road."
