JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Embrace Jax is hosting a free event Saturday not to make a statement, but just to celebrate the equality of all people, regardless of their sexual preference.
Embrace Jax was started by Josh Blanton shortly after Jacksonville City Council failed to pass an expansion to the Human Rights Ordinance that would include the LGBT Community.
Josh is a straight, married man, but he felt this was a cause big enough to fight for.
Saturday Intuition Ale Works will host Equalityfest from 3 to 10 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
There will be beer and food for sale and part of the proceeds will go to benefit JASMYN. Bands will be performing all day and there will be informational booths and speakers throughout.
